The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

A robot vacuum/mop combination is the best automatic vacuum for pet hair solution for pets that shed fur. It can mop and vacuum and even clean and dry its own dual mop pads.

It also has the most suction power of any robot we've examined, with 8,000Pa. It can also create cleaning schedules and save your house's maps using its app.

1. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni robot vacuum-mop is the latest model in Ecovacs range of robot vacuum mop hybrids. This wet-dry model is equipped with Ecovacs' new AIVI 3D 2.0 lidar system, which offers improved mapping and obstacles avoidance. It uses dual-laser LiDAR which is similar to what you'd find in self-driving cars and is able to scan up to 32 feet in 270 degrees. This translates to more precise mapping, quicker response times, and higher cleaning accuracy.

It also comes with a rotating mopping pad constructed of chenille fabric. This makes it much easier to scrub difficult spots as opposed to traditional mops. In my tests it was able to clean the X2 Omni washed its pad in just a few seconds and was ready to go. I noticed that it was more accurate than other models, which seemed to follow a grid around rooms. It was adept at navigating my rooms by the corners and edges and also create a "Zambani pattern" that ran up and down the center of the room. It returned to its OMNI Station on a regular basis to empty the dust bin and wash the mop with hot water, before starting another task of cleaning.

Like other Ecovacs products The X2 Omni is easy to set up and begin using. Simply snap the dock into place, plug it in and connect it to your home WiFi network. It takes only about a minute. Then, you're able to launch the app and get started with your first task of cleaning. I was able dive into the settings and customize my floor plan within about 15 minutes, which included creating restricted areas for sweeping and mopping, reworking my wall-mounted furniture placements, and more. The X2 Omni performed admirably in my tests. It scored well in the areas of pet hair removal as well as debris removal. It also had near-perfect results for crevices and edge cleaning.

2. Deebot T10 Omni

The T10 Omni from ECOVACS is a powerful mopping and vacuum cleaner. It is the most advanced of the T-line from the brand and features the OZMO Turbo2.0 mopping system, which uses dual-spinning brush for better cleaning than conventional scrubbing. It also has YIKO integrated, a first-of-its kind natural language processing tech that allows it to respond to a variety of voice commands. The ECOVACS App lets you map your house, create cleaning schedules and adjust settings.

The main flaw of the T10 Omni is that it can't switch between mopping and vacuuming in a single operation. Both modes require that you attach and remove the mop heads as you need to and is suitable for most homes, but not an ideal choice for those who have a busy schedule.

However, the Deebot Omni is a fantastic robot vacuum that delivers outstanding results in our tests for pet hair. It removed more than 96% debris from our hardwood flooring. This is a fantastic performance. It also did an excellent job on tile and carpet and tile, getting rid of more than 90% of dirt and other debris.

This robotic mop and vacuum comes with an enormous docking station which offers cool water cleaning for its mop pads, auto-emptying into a 3L plastic bag that's simple to replace, and hot-air drying for quick and simple maintenance. It also has a huge water tank that allows for more frequent rinses and dries between mopping runs.

The Deebot T10 comes with an integrated wash tray into its base, similar to other mopping robots. It uses the wash tray to wash and dry the mop pads while it is using them. It doesn't have a removable tray, so dirt, dust and other grime will slowly build up on the bottom.

3. RoboVac X8 hybrid

eicobot-robot-vacuum-cleaner-with-2200paWhile the Anker-owned Eufy is well-known in the robot vacuum space but this model is its first venture into the realm of mopping. It has enhanced smarts, multiple map support and LIDAR scanning, as well as twin-turbine suction technology that automatically adjusts to the floor you're cleaning. It's a mid-range robot cleaner that's appealing even if the claim of being a one-stop shop for floor cleaning doesn't be realized.

The X8 Hybrid appears to be an ordinary robotic cleaner from the top. It has a circular shape with sweeper wheels and a raised sensor area. On the other hand, you'll see a motorised floorbrush and one side brush that moves dust from the edges into the main artery of its' mouth.' It's a little smaller than the main brushes of the iRobot Roomba S9, which I found to be easier to access under chairs and sofas.

Its mapping system is reasonably sophisticated that allows you to create no-mop zones and specific cleaning zones. However, it has a tendency to bump into things (including its charging dock) and isn't always great in negotiating rug. It was effective in collecting pet hair off carpets. In our tests it picked up 89.5 percent of cat litter.

The X8 Hybrid is controlled via an app, but it also has a set of physical buttons at its base. These buttons let you choose a cleaning mode or turn the robot off/on. These buttons can be used to set up areas that aren't allowed to enter and look up maps in real-time. It's a bit chatty as well, and will let you know what it's planning to do next ("start cleaning") or alert you that something's wrong (it does not have enough power to charge, for instance).

4. ILIFE A4s

This advanced model collects pet hair, kibble and other messes with remarkable performance and is able to effortlessly maneuver around furniture legs. It comes with a feature set that is impressive, including two cleaning modes as well as an automatic docking station and a real-time obstacle avoidance system. The device that is Wi-Fi-connected can be operated via the Neato App, where cleanings are scheduled and maintenance requirements are tracked. The X2 Omni is an excellent option for homes with a large a mix of hard carpet and floors, but it requires some planning ahead to avoid getting stuck on power cords, toys or other obstacles that might be unexpected.

In our hardwood floor and kibble tests the robot performed very well and was able to pick up everything from one grain of rice up to many pieces of dog food in one pass. It had some issues with rugs however, generally speaking the vacuum cleaner is perfect for large rooms that have floors of different types as well as a mixture of pets.

It is a bit pricey but if you're able to handle the cost it's a great purchase for those who want to be able to leave their homes completely free to perform other tasks or to take care of chores. The A4s Pro has a convenient auto-cleaning feature that increases suction to take on tough dirt or spills. It also has a battery-powered ElectroWall to establish boundaries for the robot.

This budget-friendly robot from a popular brand is the cheapest we've ever tested, and provides an outstanding value for the money. Its navigation system is basic and uses a super-basic random pathing algorithm and lacks room mapping capabilities, which makes it less efficient than the other models on this list. However it's still able to get under furniture and Vacuum Mop into corners, and its mopping mode was very effective during our tests it picked up pet hair and other debris effortlessly.

5. Shark iQ

Shark's iQ isn't as sturdy as the Roomba S9, but it does better overall at cleaning up pet hair on all surfaces. It clears bare floors more thoroughly and does a fair job on carpets with a low pile and makes use of smart-pathing navigational technology for superior maneuverability. It can be positioned to a particular area and comes with a range of advanced automation options, including no-go zones and schedules. It can even stop and restart cleaning sessions which is ideal for homes with pets.

Its self-cleaning brushroll helps prevent the tangles caused by pet hair and other debris, and its bagless self-emptying docking station can hold up to 30 days worth of dirt prior to needing to be cleaned. It has a set angled side brushes to reach into corners and a multi-stage filter system to capture dust, allergens and dander.

The robot vacuum is built well and feels solid. It works with an app on your smartphone that allows you to change the vacuum's settings and schedule cleaning sessions ahead of time. The app also lets you see the remaining battery life and send push notifications for any problems it encounters during its cleaning process. You can utilize your voice to control it using an Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant device or, if you don't have either, you can mark off areas with physical boundary strips.

The iQ can do a decent job of cleaning floors and doing a fair job on shaggy and low-pile carpet however, it doesn't have the same level of autonomy as our top picks. It's also expensive and the recurring expenses can add up over time.
