Keyless Entry System

Keyless entry systems can be the ideal way to protect your rental property without needing to use physical keys. These systems allow guests and tenants to access the property by using a code or their smartphones. These systems can be used with intercoms for video and audio communications. This gives people a variety of options to enter a building. Certain keyless entry systems make use of cloud-based technology which allows them to be controlled remotely. They also come with more advanced features.

A keyless entry system can be installed anywhere in commercial or residential property. The hardware first needs to be installed at every entryway. The system will then need to be configured and managed from a central console or via a smartphone app. According to Technavio the world's keyless entry system market is expected to grow by an annual growth rate between 2016 and 2022 of 11.8 percent. The market's growth is attributed to the growing demand for security systems for commercial vehicles.

Many people are afraid of being locked out of their home So they keep a spare key in a safe location. This poses a serious security risk as criminals know where they keep their keys and are able to easily find the keys. To avoid this happening, you should install the keyless entry system installed at your residence. This will stop you from ever being locked out of your house again.

Transponder Chip

The transponder chip, also known as "chip key" is an electronic micro-chip integrated into the head of your car key, it's also one of the primary security measures in your vehicle. The word transponder is derived from the combination of transmitter and responder and responder. This is because when the key is inserted into the ignition and turned, the antenna ring on your car transmits a flash of radio frequency energy to the transponder chip. The chip responds by sending its own unique identification code to the antenna ring. the car's computer can then discern that code and determine if it is a valid key.

The key must be a transponder key to start the car, if it's not, the vehicle will remain unresponsive. The chip is secured with a special layer of polycarbonate which prevents it from being copied or cloned using regular mechanical keys. Beishir Lock and Security carries an extensive selection of transponder keys for sale at less than the price of dealerships for cars.

Transponder chips first started to gain popularity in the 1980's when GM introduced them in the Corvette. This technology drastically reduced car thefts, since it made hot-wiring a thing of past. This is a very basic explanation of how a chip key functions and should you have any queries you can contact us.

Immobiliser System

The engine immobiliser (also known as the anti-theft system) is an important feature of your vehicle's security. When you insert your key into the ignition switch or Smart Key fob, the transponder chip inside sends a code to your vehicle's Electronic Control Unit (ECU). The ECU checks that the code generated by the chip matches the one stored in it and then permits the engine to start.

The immobiliser on your car is designed to protect you from theft in this way. If the chip's code does not match with the code on the chip, the ECU will stop the flow of current from the fuel pump relay to the injection system, preventing the engine from starting. The immobiliser can also disable the starter motor or ignition coil in order to prevent the engine from getting forced to start.

Unfortunately, the system is not 100% secure. Thieves can crack the code that allows you to unlock the immobiliser in your car and allow it to start. However, the most recent versions of these systems have an extended cryptographic sequence that should be harder to figure out.

Since 1998 the immobilisers for cars have become obligatory. However, a lot of cars already had basic systems in place. It's important to note that although an immobiliser system makes it harder to steal a car, it does not hinder thieves from towing away from it or breaking into the car to gain access to your possessions.

Key Replacement

If you lose your remote or key fob or remote, it can be an expensive and time-consuming process. A locksmith will need to gain access to the vehicle, decode the VIN or run it and then reprogram the replacement key to erase all old signatures in the computer for keys that have been stolen damaged, lost or destroyed.

If your car is fitted with an integrated security chip, or transponder, in the key, this makes a replacement much more costly. These chips emit a signal to the car that verifies your identity as a driver, allowing the doors to be opened or the engine to start. The cost of the replacement of a smart key is $160.

Peugeot-2021-New-Black.pngABUS recommends that you sign up your key code as soon as you can after purchasing. This allows you to purchase spare keys or additional keys in the future. This is done by entering your Key Code on the checkout page and selecting CANADA as your shipping country. You can also register keys using photos of your spare key taken at certain angles.
