The i3+ EVO and its i3 EVO sibling the i3 EVO are both identical robots that differ only in that the i3+ has self-emptying capabilities. This makes the i3+ a great option for those who want an automated, hands-free cleaning experience but don't mind manually emptying their robot's dustbin when it is full.

Both robots are good at removing surface dirt on floors and carpets and can move around furniture and other obstacles. iAdapt navigation software makes a smart maps of your home that assist the i3+ to navigate and clean efficiently. However, unlike the i7+ and other top rated robots we evaluated the i3+ doesn't have a feature for avoiding obstacles and therefore it could be stuck on things like socks or power cords, and it can have difficulty traversing transitions across surfaces, such as from hardwood to carpet.

iRobot suggests cleaning the area around the i3+ EVO vacuums before using it. This includes getting rid of any toys or other items it might encounter. Also, keep the filters and dust bin clear to avoid becoming clogged. When the i3+ EVO's internal bin is empty or the battery is depleted, it returns to the docking station and emptys the dirt into the docking station's dust bin. It then continues cleaning where it started. The battery's lifespan is around an hour and a half of constant use. It takes 3 hours to fully charge.

2. Roomba by iRobot

The iRobot i7+ is a top robot vacuum model from iRobot’s flagship line and comes with the latest features. It's self-charging, self-navigating, and -- the most important feature of all -- it comes with an auto-emptying dustbin, which eliminates one of the most important sources of maintenance for any robot vacuum.

The Roomba i7+ can keep up to 10 floor plans and their names using Imprint Smart Mapping, a system that allows it to identify rooms to clean them more efficiently. It also works with the iRobot Home app to let you schedule cleaning jobs and control your robot with voice or via the app.

In our testing the i7+ performed faster and more maneuverable than our top choice which was the eufy RoboVac G30, and it removed large chunks of pet hair from all surfaces kinds, including carpeting. The main advantage it has over the Eufy is its self cleaning vacuum-emptying bin that removes major maintenance sources and reduces recurring cost.

We were also impressed by the i7+'s compatibility with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant AI services. We utilized these services to instruct the robot on how to begin, stop, or pause cleaning robots for home sessions as well as move around the room cleaning robot and even vacuum a specific area. The iRobot Home App made it easy to connect the i7+ to these services. Once connected we were able to use the i7+'s voice commands like "Hey Alexa, vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home App also offers options to manage i7+ settings and evaluating performance.

The V10 is powered by a 7-cell, energy-dense lithium-ion battery that produces fade-free power for 60 minutes. The advanced whole-machine filter system traps allergens, then lets cleaner air into your home. The cleaning head is specially designed to drive bristles of nylon that are stiff and deep into carpet to suck up large dust and crumbs. It comes with three suction modes to suit the task being performed. It quickly converts from handheld vacuum to floor vacuum, and then back to floor.

The model also comes with docks that charge to 100% in around 3.5 hours and provides an easy access to two attachments as well as an wand clip. This is a major improvement over earlier Dysons that require a long charge and are difficult to store.

It's capable of sucking up all types of debris and sizes during our testing, and it often passes over the same areas multiple times to ensure a thorough clean. The flat front of the unit allows to get into corners and along the edges of walls and walls, which is a nice feature.

Its smart navigation system uses iAdapt technology to stay clear of obstacles and navigate your home. It's not equipped with the mapping capabilities of more advanced models, such as our top picks, the i3+EVO and J7+ Series. It may get stuck on phone cords or furniture and is often unable to supply power before returning to its home base.

5. Samsung Jet Bot AI+

Samsung is a well-known brand in the field of home electronics. It's not surprising that they are also among the top manufacturers of robot hoover vacuums and mop. Their Jet Bot AI+ is loaded with cutting-edge onboard intelligence tech for navigation and obstacle avoidance.

The app provides a range of options for customizing your robotic cleaner. These include mopping levels, virtual barriers and behavior customizations docking frequency settings and more. It's easy to understand and easy to use, just as is the case with other Samsung devices.

In our tests of the Jet Bot AI+ excelled on hard floors and dealt with dog hair (on carpet) quite well, clearing up 86% of it. However, it did not do particularly well with taller objects like cords and socks which was a disappointment. It's also more expensive than the other models we tried which could be a problem for some buyers.

The smart vacuum comes with an onboard camera that is accessible through the app, and you can also set up a live stream from the robot's cleaning station. The application also allows you to manually steer the robot should you need to. My living room rug for instance, has a darkly-colored border that could cause trouble for other robots.
