World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of weapons, armors and rings. Upgrades also increase bonuses such as crit chance and PvE Damage.

If the template for upgrading a weapon is %, it will gain an additional 3% of the previous attack damage every time it is upgraded.

Item upgrading costs crests and the current level of the item. The cost increases as the level of the item rises.

Components

Upgrade components can be added to trinkets, armor, and weapons in order to give them a boost in stats or add a bonus effect. These can be obtained by crafting, buying from vendors or trading with other players or looting. Some upgrades have special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be inserted into equipment that has a slot for them; the item must have been at least upgraded to the blue level for a component to be applied. Like other mods, upgrade components can only be used once and cannot be applied repeatedly or replaced with new upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a particular kind of upgrade component that is that is designed for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment and some of the back items that are not ascending. Infusions and enrichments are recovered by salvaging gear that is ascended or by completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade can have a prefix or suffix that alters the name of the equipment with which it is applied (for examplethe 'Canthan Armor Insignia is changed to Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost the Mark Level or Rarity of an item, which lets players to create stronger versions using less Upgrade crystals than they require to achieve the same level with normal methods.

A 'boost' upgrade can change the attack or defence attributes of an armored weapon or. Each Glyph has a certain range of values it can improve a stat by, and the value is shown when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with an Glyph that is of the same or higher rank to boost the value of the Glyph.

There are Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of a Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain unlimited-use gathering tools, and through Faction Crypt raids. Each Faction Crypt can drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs that you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

After you have acquired the desired Glyphs you will require them to be put on your equipment. Each Glyph will unlock a unique bonus that can boost a particular set of stat nodes that are within a radius of the Glyph. Based on the Glyph, this will either be +40 to one of your primary stats, or +25 to two of your secondary stats.

The use of Glyphs Glyph can boost all nodes that are connected to it, and you should try to place your Glyphs close to key nodes on the Graph to maximise the impact. For instance that a Druid should try to place their Glyphs near their primary damage nodes, but you should also think about placing them near crucial damage nodes as well.

Leveling

The upgrade system of items allows players to increase the stats of specific items by adding upgraded components. This is also known as "upping". Each upgradeable item comes with a level that determines its upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be leveled until they reach a maximum level of 385 ilvl. Each level of an item requires different components, and upgrade costs increase with each level.

Some upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained by finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or on the upgrade tab of crafting tables. Each Upgrade Recipe completed will result in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used to level up the item, and once enough points have been earned, the upgrade will be claimed and the additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When an individual player improves the equipment they have, the base Item upgrader kit will be replaced with the new item. This means that the same piece of armor will be transformed into the form of a shield or weapon when upgraded. The new item also comes with its own set bonus. This could be a problem, as it can make the item more expensive, even if you don't need it.

All items can be upgraded up to five times except for hero equipment, which can be upgraded eight times. Each each time you upgrade an item, it is given the chance to fail. The failure rate increases the more you exceed the maximum amount of upgrades. Failures can cause the item to go to its initial state, which will force the user to spend more money on materials than they would have to had they stopped upgrading at the maximum number of upgrades.

If an item is not able to upgrade, the amount of accumulated experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. Additionally the item will lose any gained bonuses such as crit chance and attack damage, as well as any other effects that are associated with that effect (for instance, a higher healing over time or speed of reload). When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from lowest to the highest.
