The item upgrade is an enchantment that increases the stats of a specific weapons or armor. This includes tertiary statistics like Leech and Speed.

Leveling

Upgrades allow players to upgrade their items by increasing their levels. The item's "guaranteed bonuses" are also improved by the increase in level. This system is extremely useful for players who wish to obtain gear with a certain level of stats before they have the chance to purchase the latest item. The transfer system enables players to avoid the waste of upgrade material and is easy to use.

Upgrade materials can be collected by players when they remove content. They are then used to replace or improve an item. Each item requires a different type of upgrade item material. Weapons require Destruction stones, while armor items require Guardian or Harmony Leapstones. When an item is upgraded, these materials are changed in their names. For instance, Stone Fragments becomes Stones and Harmony Shards becomes Life Shards.

Item upgrade is important to improve the performance of a character However, it is essential to consider the cost prior to making any upgrades. The cost of upgrading an item can be a significant amount of gold which could have been better spent on new equipment. This is the reason it's recommended to upgrade the most essential items in any given scenario.

This usually involves upgrading the weapon first followed by the chest and legs, then the helm. If the player can afford it upgrading trinkets must be done at this point to maximize their potential to trigger. Upgrades to a top-quality Throne of Thunder item may be worth it due to the more damage it could cause. Some trinkets, however, aren't worth upgrading until they can offer an enhancement that is significant to a certain build. This is especially applicable to breakpoint equipment that is used to boost stats such as IAS or FHR.

Rerolling

Rerolling is an action that lets players change the stats of a weapon, rings, or armor depending on the type of item. It can be used to add new bonuses or replace existing ones. It also alters the power of the base item.

Rerolling is an excellent way to boost your strength in the beginning stages however it's not required. Once you've reached your goal of upgrading to level 6, it's usually best to reroll and search for the most effective upgrades or save up money to buy the next set of items. This will ensure that you have a strong lineup by the time you hit your goal of upgrading to level 9.

Rerolling is similar to the level up system. Reroll tokens can be used to remove any Level Up option and replace it with another. Reroll tokens, unlike Level Up do not reset the level of an item. This means that when you reroll an upgraded item, it will no longer be at the same level and won't have its extra bonus.

Players can also utilize the special mechanic Eliminate, to eliminate any level Up option they have on their weapons or equipment. This is helpful if you get a bad gacha or you wish to reroll a five-star unit. You'll need to set up a brand new account or sign in via social media.

In each town, you can also visit an Occultist to change the attributes or stats of a weapon or armor. This is helpful if you want to improve an epic five-star character or even if your four-star elite player is giving you trouble.

Another method to reroll an item is by using the rerolling tokens that are obtained through the completion of quests. They can be purchased from the Occultist for 300 gold, or you can find them in the holozon boxes that are dropped after completing certain dungeons. You can reroll any armor, weapon or ring by moving the icon on the page of your item with the lock in the desired slot.

Sets

A set is a collection of items that share some similarity. Sets are used every day for things like dozen eggs or a group of friends. They are helpful because they help you organize things, and operations such as intersection, union and distinction help you manage them efficiently. Sets are used in many different ways, ranging from organizing music on a playlist, to assigning students grades.

In Nioh the game, players utilize sets to give special effects for players who wear specific pieces of an Armor Set. These bonuses, also known as Set Bonuses, are similar to and sometimes superior to Effects. While it is not explained in the game's universe why the armor sets must be worn together in order to create these additional effects, they provide a nice change of pace when playing the game. The armor sets that have Set Bonuses can be found many locations in Hyrule, such as the Dark Moon Temple and Twilight Temple.

Each piece of equipment in a Set has a number of Set Bonuses associated with it. The tooltip near the bottom of the item upgrades will tell you which Set Bonuses are available. The Set Bonuses will be displayed in a red box.

Certain Set Bonuses are exclusive to a specific piece of equipment. For instance, if you equip the full Phantom Armor set you will receive +8 defense (compared to the standard +3 defense offered by most equipment). Other sets are available only by completing certain quests or by purchasing them at the Auction House.

It is possible to earn Set Bonuses for several pieces of equipment simultaneously. If you own the complete Kestra's Descent Set, and the matching parts of Twinblade of Shadow, you will be able to get the version with the + set's bonus if you be able to match them.

Contrary to Effects, which change each time you upgrade them Set Bonuses remain the same even as the pieces of equipment they're connected to increase in. If an item is exemplarized to be too low, then the set bonus will not work.

Set bonuses

Set bonuses only affect the shell (not the armoring or mods) of an item of equipment, so you should be aware when putting them.

A key point to note is the fact that the strength of a set bonus is not affected if you exemplar more than three levels below the minimum levels that are allowed for an Enhancement of this type. This rule doesn't apply to Purple (Very rare) Sets PvP Sets, PvP Sets or Archetype Origin Sets. Their set bonuses will function regardless of exemplar level.
